We are a group of university-based researchers in Nova Scotia, Canada, who share research interests in the area of close relationships.
Dr. Diane Holmberg is a professor of psychology at Acadia University, located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. She received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1994, under the supervision of Dr. Hazel Markus. Past research interests have included the self-concept, relationship scripts, relationship narratives, and gender differences in relationship memories. Current research interests include how couples cope with stress, individually or together.
Dr. Lisa Price is an associate professor of psychology at Acadia University. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of New Brunswick, under the supervision of Dr. Sandra Byers. Past research interests have included dating violence and risky sexual behaviours. Current research interests include dyadic coping with stress, and emotion-focused therapy techniques.
Dr. Christine Lomore is an assistant professor of psychology at St. Francis Xavier University, located in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. She received her Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Dr. John Holmes. Past research interests have included effects of self-esteem on relationships, and destiny vs. growth approaches to close relationships. Current research interests include dyadic coping with stress.
